high pitched sound in my 94 850TW 850 1994

I just got a used 850 turbo wagon (my 3rd Volvo!), and I've noticed that it makes a high pitched sound every 3-5 minutes that sounds like it comes from the rear. Does anyone have an explanation for this, because it's driving me crazy!

    If it is while you are driving down the road and sounds like a high chirping sound, try lowering the right rear seat and see if the noise goes away, if it does, greasing the latch will get rid of the chirping noise.

      I had the same problem as described here. Greasing the latch for the rear seat solved most of the noise. I also had noise coming from under the driver seat. I found that if I move the seat position from the position I usually drive, the noise stopped. So I sprayed some silicon lubricant on the mechanical hardware under the seat. Now, it is quiet.
