Re: NEED HELP driver window wont go move !!! 850 1996

My daughter was angry one day and slammed the rear door of my '96 850. window stopped working after that. traced it to the connector into the regulator. it fell out. took about 2 hours to R&R the panel and find the problem. Still working on my daughter's anger problem.

Have you checked the switch? I had problems with the passenger side, pulled the switches apart and cleaned the contacts. Works great now.

Re: NEED HELP driver window wont go move !!! 850 1996

I'm having a similar problem I think. The rear window switch isn't working. From the main control panel I can get all the windows to go up and down so I know that the motor isn't shot. How do you remove the switch to clean the contacts and/or replace it? Does it just pop off with a screwdriver or is there something else that I have to do?

Thanks in advance.

Rob

Pull the door panel and check the regulator and the channel for it. That is the most common problem I can think of.
