General Info on AWD,S60 S60 2001

I would like to discover some general information on the AWD autos, for example, what type of engine is installed in these Volvo's?
Where would I obtain repair information on these cars?
Is there a "green book" of repair information, specs, capacities etc. available?
I own three bricks 700 & 900 series, and now I have an S60 to deal with, so would like to find a place that has FAQ's on repair for these guys.

thanks in advance for any input

    General Info on AWD,S60 S60 2001

The S60 was given the 5 cyl, either NA or light pressure turbo. There are no 'manuals' for the S60. VADIS and AlldataDIY have diagrams. You will need a good scanner, preferably PC based, to check all of the car systems. The engine bay is quite tight, the timing belt should be at 70K intervals along with a new tensioner.

AWD? If it is, it is not Haldex, but you will need to flush the oil in the bevel gear box which does not have a drain plug.

Flush the auto tranny fluid soon.

My 99 and 2000 NA and LPT timing belt interval was 105,000 mi or 10 yrs and my 04 S60 CA model is 150,000 or 10 yrs. My 05 xc90 with the 5 cyl lpt is 120,000. They went to longer maintenance intervals in '99.

Did you read the 'fine print' for 2005 maintenance:

****Service interval for engine VIN codes 52, 54 and 59 is 120,000 miles or 192,000 kilometers. Service interval after first service for all turbo models is every 45,000 miles / 72,000 kilometers. No service required on engine VIN code 68.
***** Models identified by engine VIN codes 39 & 64 sold in California, Massachusetts, Vermont, New York and Maine are classified as PZEV vehicles. The timing belt and tensioner replacement interval for these vehicles only is 15 years or 150,000 miles / 240,000 kilometers.
Maximum replacement time interval for all engines except engine VIN code # 39 & 64 is 10 years.
For service intervals beyond 150,000 miles, consult your authorized Volvo retailer.
