OBD1 doesn't flash in some ports. 850

1995 850 T-5R. I'm trying to run codes on all the A and B ports to clear the codes and see what comes back. A few ports show the red light when I press the button but I don't get any flashes to give me any codes. Also, cruise control port won't let me clear the code shown.

How concerned should I be if multiple codes come back after clearing them? The car seems to be running great. Any thoughts? Thanks.

The B-2 2-2-2 code can not be cleared.

As for some ports not working, make sure the doors are closed - don't laugh. You could tell us which ports turn on the red light and do not respond to pushing the black button.

Codes that do not erase are current conditions and need to have the source problem repaired.

As always, thanks for the reply.

It's the A5, A6, and B6 that don't flash when the button is pressed. The light does come on while pressing the button though. I tried again with all the doors shut tight. (You mean the 4 car doors, right?) and same thing.
And the B2 port is showing 1-2-2 which I can't seem to clear, not 2-2-2.

Good news is all the other ports that I did clear are showing 1-1-1 when I checked again today, after driving to and from work.

        Sorry, should have said 1-2-2.

A5 is no big deal. B-6 is for power seats.

But A-6 is ignition. Back when I had a 1994 turbo, the same thing happened to me for A-6. It worked when I had the car doors closed, strange. Perhaps it was the wiring for the probe that was getting weak and frail?

Note, terminal A6 is used only on LH3.2/EZK systems for ignition system, 93 and 94 non turbo cars. Turbocharged cars only have 1 ECM, and A6 is not used, while the non turbo cars use 2 ECM's, 1 each for fuel and ignition systems.

I had to pry the cap off the obd port (careful the button has a spring) and solder a new wire to the probe....very tricky) but now my lights work and I can clear codes...
