bras question? S70 1998

Hi,

Some road chips affect my front end and I want to install a bras, but need the forum's advice:

1. Where to buy the bras?

2. How much does it cost?

3. Is it good in preventing road damage?

4. Does it trap water inside the bras, potentially accelerating rust?

5. Do you leave it on year-round?

I'd appreciate any opinions.

    cn,

An alternative is to use a 3-M type self-adhesive protective film.

I have one that I got from Fenwick Motors, Ltd. in Sarnia, Ontario. It is less obvious than a bra and avoids the problems of removal and rusting.

    Contact Glen if you're interested.

      Hi,

Does this self-adhesive stick to the paint foreever, i.e. is it removable?

The body man told me that it is removeable for "a while."

Also and dirt or dust than manages to work its way under the bra will transform it into sandpaper on your paint.

Xpel and 3M make clear tape protection that many folks like.

    > 1. Where to buy the bras? carparts.com comes to mind as well as IPD and a few others

    > 2. How much does it cost? Around 120 with shipping I believe

    > 3. Is it good in preventing road damage? It will prevent most rock chips

    > 4. Does it trap water inside the bras, potentially accelerating rust? You have to take it off when it gets wet

    > 5. Do you leave it on year-round? You can.

Hope that helps you out a little
