Car currently at dealer need code help (transmission acting up - code 2-3-3)!!! 850 1994

I was slowing down to pull into a parking space when my car lunged forward with a clunk. Then all of a sudden the up arrow started flashing in the dash. I drove the car around the parking lot and it felt like it was stuck in "limp home" mode. So I parked the car turned it off and on and the light was still there. (Here is my first mistake) I disconnected the battery to see if the car would reset (Without checking the codes first -- Mistake I know) I waited about 10 minutes and started it back up. The car started to drive fine (not in limp home mode) but then started shifting like crap then the up arrow started flashing again. This time I went out and read the codes. I got 2-3-2 out of A1. Does anyone know what that means???? I asked the mechanic but he wasn't sure off the top of his head.

I want the worst scenario because I'm just BARELY under VIP, it expires at 85,000 and I'm at 84,990 on the dot. So if it's possible that the transmission is shot I'd like to know.

I left the car at the dealership last night and I came to check on it today (they haven't worked on it yet), when I stared it up the up arrow was no longer flashing. I didn't drive it at all, and when I checked the codes 2-3-2 was still there.

Thanks in advance and any suggestions would be great.... I’ll post what the dealership says is the problem.

Scott

PS -- I searched the archives and found nothing about code 2-3-2.
