CD Changer Installation S40-V40 01

Question to any Volvo Service guys.

I am in the process of installing the OEM Factory Volvo 10 Disc Changer in my 2001 S40 (pre-wired). I took out the head unit and attached the Changer cable that was taped onto the back of the radio. I have mounted the unit in its place.

Heres the question. I know I plug in the round cable. What is the Square connector port on the Changer unit? what is supposed to get plugged into that hole?

Help

Re: CD Changer Installation S40-V40 01

That sounds like the power connection for the unit. There should be a cable in the installation kit, assuming you did get the installation kit, that goes between the power antenna and the CD changer. If you don't have the kit, you will need it. On the 10 disc units the plug in will be blue. You will unplug the power connector from the antenna, plug the supplied harness into the antenna, plug the other end into the body harness and the blue connector into the changer and that should get you going.
