Tie Rod removel (93 850) 850 1993

I'm in the process of replacing the suspension bits on my 93 850. It has the original tie rods, ball joint and end link.

I'm replacing them all (it's in 4 components).

Today I replaced the tie rod end, the end link and the ball joint fairly easily. However, the Inner tie rod (I know people have a fit about it being called that, but that is what IPD calls the part) just won't budge.

So far I've tried a vice grip and a plumbers wrench (monkey wrench for some).

As I understand it, since it would be loosening, I would be going counter clockwise to loosen it. But it wouldn't budge AT all.

I put the rest of the bits on and put the tire on and called it a day. But I want to replace the "inner tie rod" before I finish the rest of the suspension and have it aligned.

Anyone have any tips?

Update:

I found that turning the wheel all the way to the opposite side, pushes the tie-rod out super far. That made it MUCH easier to remove, with a plumbers wrench.

So the tie-rod is out and replaced. However, my thumbnail had an impromptu meeting with the space between the handle of the wrench and the sub-frame.

ouch.

Let it soak a while with Genuine Marvel Mystery Oil, not to be confused with
the wonderful oil paint solvent WD40.

If it's still stubborn get some heat on it, MAPP gas should do it.

I applied PB Blast (I think thats the name) and let it sit over night. I think what i'm going to do is put the car up today on ramps, soak both inner's, and call it a day. It's supposed to get close to 100 today, and this Portland boy ain't liking the heat!

Thanks for the suggestions.
