Hi all:

Nice to have the car back with a functioning transmission again. I did notice that the sound I thought was torqe converter noise is still there, so i took off the throttle cable cover and revved up the engine.....the noise is at a high pitch by the power steering pump or maybe the serpentine belt tensioner......has anyone had a noisy either part? It seems loudest on acceleration, but is hardly noticeable at cruising speeds. Both parts are original on a car with 500k+ miles.....

Could be your headlight wiper motor malfunctioning. My car made the same type of sound when the passenger side motor went south. There is a plug on the side of the radiator to unplug it. You might try that.

When it happened to my car, I thought it was the alternator at first...

don't have the winter package on the car as I bought it in Texas, but would like heated seats.
