Purchase new wiper arm-where? 850 1994

I am looking around the web to purchase a new windshield wiper arm for drivers side, 1994 850 Turbo Wagon. Unable to locate one. Any suggestions? Maybe they just do not list the wiper arm on the site.

Re: Purchase new wiper arm-where? 850 1994

The wiper arms are a dealer part unless you can find one at a salvage yard. Are you replacing your wiper arm because it lifts from the windshield at the top of its arc? If so, it is probably because your wiper arm is an early-style arm which is made from thinner metal (I believe Volvo switched to a thicker arm during the '94 year)and it bends easily. If you just bend back your OE arm it will still be vunerable to the same problem you have now. Go ahead and buy the new thicker style and you won't have to worry about it again. PS: if you use Volvo blades you may have to also buy new blades for the new arms as they size the blade (attachment) for the arm thickness.

SAVE YORSLEF 60.00 AND REMOVE THE LS WIPER ARM AND INSTALL A VISE AND BEND BACK INTO SHAPE. AS FAR AS I KNOW IT IS ONLY AVAILABLE FROM THE DEALER.

Our dealer stocks them but if you're replacing it because it doesn't touch the windshield when it's up, just push down on it and bend it back down into position. It's easy and takes a second.

They bend when the blade gets stuck on ice or is used to push heavy snow, which should be avoided.
