Manifold removal what to do with hard fuel line? S70 1999

I am muddling along with my pcv replacement.

Intake manifold is loose. There is a hard fuel line threading up through the manifold and a shiny metal connector is attached to the hard fuel line. A rubber fuel line (which I cut to remove the injector rail) attaches to this shiny metal connector. This shiny metal connector can rotate on the hard fuel line.

I need to disconnect the shiny metal coupling from the hard fuel line to get the manifold off.

How do I do this?

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick connect fuel line info...I was not familiar with this type of fitting...

After the connector is off it still looks like the hard line bent at 90 degrees is too long for the manifold to slide off.

      Should I bend it?

Bending will weaken it and cause more problems. The manifold should come off easily enough.

They are actually pretty easy to separate, but you need these plastic sleeves that you install to put pressure on the fitting and they just separate. If I recall correctly, when I did my oil separator box and pcv plumbing I purchased all new parts and found everything to be relatively clean. Figures,

But do a google search and I think theres a few you tube videos showing you how to use the plasic circular tool. They come in different sizes color based and aren't that expensive.
