It has taken a while, but I can now recomm a code reader that WILL reset your SRS [and a helluva lot of other good stuff] Unit is Autel MaxiDiag EU702. I found it thru newegg.com, but there are plenty of other sources on eBay etc. Here's the math: the unit cost me about $100. Sounds like a lot of dinero? Dealer said it would charge $100 to read code and couldnt promise that they would reset if I didnt do the fix. So I did one reset already and I am already ahead. It does a basketful of other real time diag etc so there's more fun to come.

      Go on eBay and search for seller store called
      goalshopyw

      that is where I bought it. Also, I saw them on newegg.com

        It's lucky for me you posted this - I have a vehicle check due tomorrow but SRS light is on. I am pretty sure I am going to try for the DICE/VIDA. I have a spare XP laptop. Otherwise I did call and email a place in Shenzhen about the Autel.
        This is the email I received:

        I wonder if these Autels are the same $200+ Autels sold in North America? I saw that a few head offices of the US sellers of the device are actually in HK and Guangzhou.

          Mine was only $115USD and I paid with paypal so that if it didnt function as promised and vendor didnt cooperate, I could get $ back. It works perfectly.

      I saw one sold from China from Obd2reader.com which was good for price and my shipping to here in New Zealand but I have seen a negative review written from Nth America.
