VADIS 2003

I receintly installed VADIS for 2003 on my laptop running Windows Vista, using the DOS installation ap provided. VADIS works fine for my 2003 V70, but one of the other programs on my laptop, Peachtree R8, refuses to open, with the message "MaxFiles parameter of 40 is < 100. Please correct and restart". Accessing and changing MaxFiles parameter is not obvious, and Peachtree and Microsoft have not been much help. Peachtree is the only program to date that refuses to open. Has anyone else had a simular problem?

    VADIS 2003

I have a VADIS 2005A that I'm trying to install on a laptop with Vista. The program loads and seems to run, but there is no information available.

I don't think the hacked/cracked software is done very well. It may have worked once on one computer but when you add in other software, not so much. The advice I got from the vendor was to uninstall it and try again. Very reassuring... I'm very reluctant to try it on the XP machine that I use everyday.

I had the same problem initially. I finally used the DOS installation setup and shut down my AVG antivirus. Shutting down the antivirus is vital, even if you're just copying the VADIS DVD onto your hard drive for installation later. Also if the setup gives you a choice of years pick only you year. I don't think it will load more than one year.

The information you're looking for is on the installation disk, or on your hard drive if you copied the DVD onto your hard drive, at C:\...(wherever you put it)\VADIS\My Disk Mech\Info\vv13007(in my case for 2003)\ie\en\(and then a huge file of numbers starting with 00 and up). Copy (ctrl c) and Paste (ctrl v) the contents of ...\en\ into ...\vv(whatever the number is for 2005)\ie\en\ in info wherever the installation put it (on my computer it is in C:\ (near the top since it begins with i).

      Good luck, jrip
