Camshaft Code V70-XC70 2005

I just purchased a 2005 V70 with 135k and all the stamped books- service preformed at all factory recomended mileage.
I got the service history ( After I purchased it) and it shows a Camshaft Code-
Here is the number on the RO (15V0Z16) I have no idea if that means anything-
In hand writing it states " Removed Timimg cover found a lot of play on Camshaft hubs" Before I take it to Volvo can this be fixed by my local Volvo shop?
If so what is involved?

Do you currently have a check engine light or something in the message center? The mechanic that found the excessive play didn't fix it?

It was a Volvo dealer - he stated the customer declined to have it fixed-
I purchased it without that knowledge as it had every scheduled service preformed-
Once I got it home I called Bobby Rahal Volvo and asked for the service records - I sent a copy of the CatFax to him and he wrote in the Margins-that is when I found out about the problem-

When I got it it had no Ck Eng lights on- I drove it 400 miles and still no light- in a couple of days the light came on- I took it to my local Volvo shop-not a Dealer- he stated it was the Camshaft sensor-

As of today there is no CK ENgine light on!!!

Lesson: Never believe everything a dealer says about your car. He has morgage payments and likes to take trips, or teen age kids with braces :)

I had my used car 'inspected' by a dealer and got a 2 page list of faults. None of them earth shattering. And then I took it to an Indie who verified that some of them were legit and others were dubious. Like the leaking rack(!) which was really just a weep and it stopped leaking during my ownership.

Drive your 'new' car, don't baby it and it will reward you with pleasure.
