Fuel line quick connect stuck on fuel filter.

I have a 98 V-70 XC AWD, The engine would stall while driving. It would go for about 1/4 mile at a time. I checked the fuel rail after it stalled in my yard. There was no fuel pressure, telling me that I have a clogged fuel filter or a defective fuel pump. As far as I know, the fuel filter has never been changed and now I know why. The filter is in a very hard place to access it. It is above the rear axle accessible from the two access holes and from under the car. I was able to remove the rear fuel line from under the car but the other line does not move. I have tried every thing it is leaking fuel now but still hasn't moved off the filter much.

Thanks everyone for the help but i think the problem is releaving the back pressure in the fuel line by opening the shrader valve which the cap is stuck on with rust and road goop. I can't get pliers in there to grab it but i'll try a nut removal tool and maybe a heat gun.

I used a 15(?)mm wrench to pry off the line from the filter. I may have even started it moving with a fat screwdriver.

I know what you mean by access! The filter has to be dropped down as it will not fit through either hole.

While there, check the EVAP hoses for cracks. There is a line that is prone to split right next to the filter.

I had a similar problem. After replacing the fuel pump and the filter, I discovered that it was the fuel pressure regulator.
