minor irritation V70-XC70 1998

Hi All: Lately the "tailgate" warning light has been staying on in my '98 V70 wagon. If I slam the tailgate shut the light goes out. Anyone know where I can find the switch that controls this light ? Will it need to be replaced ?

    Like the Volvo Doctor said, the switch is internal to the latch. Hopefully your car is still under warranty, because it's not cheap.

    There is a micro-switch in the tailgate lock assembly, the repair is to replace the tailgate lock assembly.
