Is this with just the remote or key from the outside of the car? Try pushing down on the lock button and see what happens. It is possible that the plastic holding the connecting rod is worn and it does not fully engage the lock.

Thanks for idea's and suggestions. So far problem will not repeat itself. It happens with the remote and when in the car and only on the passenger side. Being TX it is and has been hot, so am not sure if that is having an effect. Will keep you all informed as we continue the search.

BTW, got a brand new 2012 S60 T5 and it is sweet. Almost 1500 miles on it now.

Passenger door lock keeps popping up after locking it V70-XC70 2001

Hello, I had the same experience with my 2002 V70. I figured out (T & E) that if I made sure all 4 doors were UNLOCKED and I waited 7 seconds I could successfully lock the doors with 2 rapid pushes of the fob's lock button or two turns of the key. Anything else and the driver's door would unlock immediately. Kira
