I ordered a set when I did the front but mechanic told me why bother the rears seemed fine. Finally, a year later, I put them in.

Wow.

Rides better.
Tracks better.
Corners better.
And I feel less beat-up after long trips.

I'm stuck on Volvo and Volvo's stuck on me....when it comes to FWD I always listen to the "Oracle of Minnesota"

    I did the front struts and then the rear shocks on Mary's V70. the fronts made a difference because the left side was completely shot. Replacing the rear shocks made it ride like a 'new car'...

      Hello, I too did my rears first and was impressed with the improvement. New front struts and new IPD heavy duty links were heavenly. Kira

    It is not a well kept secret, rear shocks do wear down and need to be replaced when the fronts wear out. I noticed that when I replaced the fronts and the rear then felt 'funny'.
