Hello
I recently went to start my 2005 V50 and Key error came up. The car would not tuen over at all . Finally a rapily turned the key several times and if finnaly started. Now it seems like I need to hold the key hard against the stop in order to engage the starter,any help or suggestions would be greatly apperciated.

I suspect your security ring is cracked, but first, try another key.

Hello,
I tried both keys. and both did the same thing at the time. Do you have anymore details on the security ring and how to repalce or repair. The car is starting fine now

I looked around and could not find one for the V50. Give your dealer parts dept a call.
