Anybody tried any of these -- Scantech? Dorman? Airtex? Intermotor? No shortage of brands to choose from on this one.

        OEM does not mean it was made by Volvo, just that Volvo accepted their bid to make the car part to the correct specs. Some of the aftermarket are really cheap and will not last very long or fit just so.

        ScanT is one of those firms. It is like a grainy photo is sent to Bangladesh, who then use the parts from salvage shipyards to fabricate something close to the picture.

        The PNP switch is not critcal to the operation of the car, so it really doesn't matter much who makes it. Especially if you don't mind taking the air cleaner and battery tray out of the car again next year. Would I go OEM for a PNP, probably not, but then I would look to see where the part is made.
