I have to roll down the window to escape my car.

Is there anything I can do other than pick up a complete door panel at a junk yard?

I have fixed it before but this time it is not repairable as part of it has broken off.
Is there anyway of holding the cable into the handle?

Getting a color matched door at a junk yard is an option. Just loosen the external torx screws, unhool the door strap, unhook the electric bundle and lift the door up and away. Of course, you will want to trade outside locks from your old door. It weighs at least 60lbs.

Or, take the door panel off and fashion a connector to the inside door handle and the rod. Yankee ingenuity.
