My left windows don't operate. Luckily they are up.

I have had my door panels off for a while to change out the speakers. When I put them back on, my left windows don't work. Right windows do fine. Lock/unlock works but didn't check mirror control. I didn't have time to do much troubleshooting, so I'm asking for any hint before I start searching. You might remember that I have already noticed that my fuel door release doesn't work but my trunk release does. Is there a common link between the left windows and fuel door release? I looked for a fuse controlling both or either switch but didn't find one.

Your fuel door release is probably a failed motor, not related.

Pull the master switch up out of the door and verify that the plug is firmly seated. You can check the switches with the module in your hand and still plugged in. Do the left rear window first. BTW, does the LR window work from its own door switch - if not, the problem is probably in the master sw wiring.

The fuses are 30amp resetable fuses, they do not break. Large and clad in aluminum, if they get too hot, they shut down until cooled off and then work again.

Right side windows work from driver's door and right side switches, but left side windows don't work at all. I must have messed something up in pulling the panels and reinstalling them. They all worked before. I'll pull the switch and check everything.

There isn't any way I could have replugged the switches backwards,could I? The plugs look similar, one gray and the other white. It seems if I had reversed them, nothing would work or the switch would control the wrong windows.

Today, the driver's window works. It must be healing itself!

But if not, I think I'll get some contact cleaner and remove, clean, and reseat the switches and see what happens next.
