trying to get quotes to have an indie change out my shot automatic tranny from a '94 850. I've found a transmission - any one have an idea of the labor cost? it is 10hrs or so?

I'd also expect 8 hours if most things go right.
BUT, with a 15-20 year old car, there are bound to be unexpected setbacks.

I think the 'book' is about 8 hours. A good shop with someone that has done it before can do it in less than 6 hours, but coffee breaks are not included.

Ha! thanks. when I work on the volvo they are known as beer breaks!
