Battery Question V70-XC70 1999

Good evening all, about 3 weeks I was driving around town, no issues until I got home. I was taken some items to my storage facility. My last trip to storage the car did not start, turned the key and completely silent. The radio worked, didn't check anything else at that time. A few days ago the interior lights were on but dim and the radio red light was flashing. Tonight, I decided to see what was going, the radio was working, so I turned the key and she started right up. I'm showing 13.75 volts across the battery. What is should I be looking for? Thanks to all that respond.

Have your alternator and battery checked at a parts store. The alternator should be sending 14.5V to the battery at idle.

The radio should have a blinking red light when the key is off. The radio will work with only 9V at the battery.

You could also have a failing ignition switch.

I would check the battery cables first. Make sure they have a reasonable clean connection and are tight. After that, bad grounds and loose connections.

    I hate intermittent electrical problems.

Thanks for your response, I may have found the problem, the Fuel Pressure Regulator is going bad, causing a no start indication.

When the FP regulator dies, there is too much fuel pressure and the engine will flood when trying to start. Your post said that the starter didn't engage? That could point to dirty battery contacts or a loose wire at the starter.
