Hello all,
my 96 n/a 850 has cut out a few times when coming to a stop. It almost always idles very roughly when coming to a stop now as well. Someone suggested crank speed sensor. Any thoughts gratefully accepted. Car runs well otherwise.

Before 'buying' anything, I would clean the throttle body and idle air control motor. Check the hose between the IAC motor and the TB for cracks.

Check the plate under the throttle body that has a vacuum line attached, the vacuum line must be clear and clean.

I would suggest the MAS. You can try cleaning it with spray cleaner but it probably needs to be replaced. Check for a dirty air filter and bad intake air temp sensor.
