Fault Code 901 S80 99

Recently the car shut down while on a highway exit ramp; engine stopped; all dash lights came on. Started up and ran ok afterwards, Dealer found a fault code 901 in the computer and told me its now fixed via a software download. Anyone have a similar experience with this fault code?

    I too had that experience last summer. Of course the dealer updated the software and it fixed the problem. However the service person failed to tell me any details of the trouble. I hope S80 doesn't run on Microsoft Windows or I'll have to reboot a few times day. He He.

    On all the network cars a software download is a fix for some codes. The download is able to change the program of 1 or more of the 15 or so computers in the cars network.

    All the fault codes in the S80 are 4 digits.(1300, 4308, 901A, 901E) so the 901 doesn't make any sense.
