Now Both Front Doors Won't Open From Inside 850 1993

Hello again lads,

Now I'm in a jam. The passenger side door mechanism stopped working from the inside last year and I was stumped. No solution was offered after my post here. Yesterday, something happened and I can no longer open the drivers door from the inside.

I popped off the door panel to investigate and its looks like something is missing. Is there a missing piece of linkage?

I just searched site and couldn't find anything helpful.

Appreciate any insight anyone might have. Going back outside to stare at it some more.

If a rod is missing, look down deep in the door cavity. It wouldn't have fallen out of the car. Don't forget to inspect the window chanel at the rear of the door, they have a habit of cracking and falling off sooner than later, and then your window gets stuck as well.

Klaus,

Thanks for the reassuring response.

I went back and searched for the missing "rod," and sure enough, the missing link (sorry) was laying in the bottom of the door.

After fishing it out, it was easy to see the correct spot for it. I secured it with some sturdy wire.

Going for the passenger door tomorrow.

Many thanks!
