98 V70 Gas cap V70-XC70

yesterday my gas cap decided to self-destruct and send pieces parts springs sprags etc everwhere when i went to repace the cap after fill-up.
Just curious as i see Gant and other make an aftermarket cap for this care but i usually like to use OEM stuff for things like this.

Has anyone else had experience with the aftermarket caps? sealing right?, not tripping a CEL code etc.?

    Hello, I bought a Stant brand cap for my '99 and it worked fine. It wasn't necessary as my problem was simply a load of bad fuel. I still have the extra good one. Kira
