I got one on ebay for $5 plus $15 shipping and despite promise of 'good working order' I asked specifically if all 4 channels are working. My original sc-710 is down to 1 channel, the front left.

Well the cassette player doesn't work, motor runs but no sound. The radio reception seems to be better than my original. The two front speakers work. The rears are very weak. My old one was dead to the rears I believe. Any chance the speakers are to blame and not this new ebay unit. I don't want to bust the seller chops on the rear channels if it could be my speakers.

I'm not sure which model the stock Volvo radio was in our '95, but the front speakers would cut in and out so much that we just drove it only using the back speakers.

Santa brought an aftermarket radio for Christmas and a one hour easy installation later all is well. Daughter could not be happier since she can now stream music too.

Our problem was in the factory radio.

Have you pulled the volume button out to check the balance? You still have tapes???? How about a cleaner cassette?

More likely the amp than speakers I'd imagine. I tried to remove the rear speakers once, but couldn't figure it out. There was talk of magnets falling off the rear speakers.
