Power Steering Rack? V70-XC70 1998

After a lot of inspecting I replaced the sway bar end links, they wiggled very easy, and found a very small amount of play where the shaft of the ball joint is clamped into the knuckle when I take the weight of the car off of it. I do not believe this is my problem. Could it be a bad steering rack? It really feels like the steering sometimes turns just a little further in the middle of a left curve. It has a small amount of play at center and feels like it turns easier to the left than it does to the right.
