Where to get parts?? 850 1994

I have been lucky enough to be blessed with being located next to a less than cordial dealer who I prefer not give my hard earned dollar to. Thus, that leaves me looking for another Volvo parts retailer. I am in need of replacing the front brake pads and rotors and was curious where I should look. I would prefer to buy OEM after reading how sensitive the brake system appears to be. Any suggestions?

    Mark, On ebay there are rotors by zimmerman $60.00 for the pair.They are being auctioned by www.fcpgroton.com I just bought some and shipping was about $8.00. Jot

      Hi mike.

      If you live in the south try Discount Auto Parts stores, if not try another, NAPA, Advance etc. I went to a Discount Auto Parts store the other day and it was slow, so I ran a list of common parts, like brake parts, tune-up parts, and they could get most parts the next day. They had front rotors and pads as cheap or cheaper than mail order places. I had just bought rear pads from IPD.com and Discount had them for the same exact price with life time warranty

        A lifetime warranty on brake pads?

        And the same pads that IPD sells?

        I don't think so!

        That is not realistic, and there is a catch somewhere.

        If it is too good to be true, maybe it is.

          Hi Rich.

          Let me clarify, the same price as IPD, not the same pad. Yes they do have a life time warranty on the pad, and on alot of other parts, fuel pumps, water pumps. I know what the first thought is, brake pads will wear out in less than the cars life time. I think they bet that you will either trade the car in or lose the parts reciept before you will ever need new ones. I don't make this stuff up I'm just saying what thier policy on parts are.
