Jack Points on Subframe V70-XC70

Is it appropriate to use my hydraulic floor jack to lift my V70 (and C70 and S40 for that matter) using the front sub-frame (specially the beam portion that sits directly behind the front bumper and in front of the engine.)This allows me to easily raise the front of the car. Just double checking.

You could do that... But, the subframe is smooth and the jack can slide. I prefer to jack up one side and place a jack stand on the front corner of the subframe, ditto for the other side.

If all you use is a floor jack, do not use it to lift both front or rear wheels at the same time. Much too risky for the car to tilt and fall.
