Fog light relay removal

Hi y'all

I have the 1998 v70 xc. It has the "213" foglight relay under the steering wheel.

I am trying to pull the relay to set up my fogs to come on with parking lights OR low beams by removing the relay cover and switching the internal conductor around as described elsewhere.

I cant get the sucker out! Is there a technique here? There seem to be engagement lugs on some of the other relays.

I can't see b/c the whole wiring harness carcass is right there -

Is there a better way to access the whole relay panel?

If there is a lug on the relay I would think you push the lug toward the relay (squeeze)? Which I've tried but there is no vis - Is there a good tool to use? Is there a lug on both sides or just the left side?

Thanks for any tips!

Fog light relay removal

There are 2 small plastic tabs that need to be pushed in. You might have to remove the adjacent relay to get a good purchase.

Thanks KC

I have seen and saved that that how-to, but thanks for the link.

The layout and location of the relay panel shows that the Swedes are into sadism! (or is it the Belgians?) I mean really that is about as practical a location as tits on a chicken!

Thanks!
