'98 V70 -- Replacing one rear tire?

My '98 V70 has a bad rear tire on the passenger side. I'm planning to buy a set of four new tires soon, but I'm not quite ready to do so yet.

Question: Can I get by just by replacing the one bad tire for a few weeks? Being on the rear I'm not worried about the differential, but I don't want to screw up the ABS.

If you are going to replace all 4 soon, could you make a deal with the tire shop and get 2 for the rear now? And 2 for the front next month?

No, the ABS will not be messed with if you have 1 new tire on the rear.

Thanks Klaus. Ordinarily, doing the back first would be a good idea, but I'll be installing a pair of alloy rims, 15 inch to 16 inch, so that wouldn't work very well here.

To the best of my knowledge it shouldn't affect the ABS.
