99 v70 rear cam seal V70-XC70

I just replaced a rear cam seal on my 99 v70 . Now the car will idle but when you rev the engine it dies . Also i realize that when I ordered the seal I received two seals , when I took out the old seal there was only one to replace . Where does the second one go ??

There is only one seal. If you replaced the exhaust cam seal, did you put the CPS on correctly?

HI

A couple of years ago I had the head rebuilt. It seems athe they stripped the bolts that hold the CPS into the head. I had to drill out the upper hole and use a bolt and nut to secure the CPS in place. I read on a posting on that it was important to put the trigger wheel on correctly . I made special attention to make sure that it was seated correctly. As for the CPS cover, there seemed to be only one way to align the holes for the bolts.
