one more note on check engine light V70-XC70 98

I had check engine light go off a few days ago after I didn't close gas cap properly. Happy to report that after about 4-5 days the light went out by itself, and I saved myself an agony of going to the dealer to reset it.

Maybe light corrects itself in 98 V70?

    The light will go out after 3 complete self diagnostic cycles if the fault that caused it was corected. The code remains in memory for 50 engine starts as I recall.
