Cat-back & Downpipe I'm Confused 850

Alright! It seems that I am getting contradictory information regarding which manufacturer carries what exhausts and downpipes.

I called PES-Tuning and they said they have a 2.5" downpipe, 2.5" catalytic convertor, and a 2.5" cat-back with silencer.

But, supposedly, Supersprint doesn't make a 2.5" catalytic convertor, and only a resonator to replace the cat. Meaning I will fail emissions and pollute rather recklessly.

Supposedly, Ferrita makes a 3" downpipe, a 3" catalytic convertor and a 2.5" cat-back with a 2.5" silencer.

But their site only offers a cat-back, and I'm still not sure whether they have a 3" catalytic convertor to go with the supposedly available 3" downpipe.

To make things simple, could someone please answer the following?

Who makes a 3" downpipe?

Who makes a 2.5" downpipe?

Who makes a system with a 3" catalytic convertor?

Who makes a system with a 2.5" catalytic convertor?

Who makes a 3" cat-back?

Who makes a 2.5" cat-back?

Thanks for the help guys.

    Sin,

Re-check the Ferritas website. In particular, look at their pricelist in Swedish. It's not that difficult to figure out what the words translate to, and you will see they sell (under the "special products" section) a complete 3" downpipe - 2 1/2" cat back system for about 8950 SEK (~$900 US).

Ferrita for sure, Kalmar Union, and I believe SAM. Coyote carries it. There are a few other but I would have to go look.

ATR, Supersprint, and a few others. Once again I would have to go look through my site.

Kalmar, Ferrita, SAM, for a cat call any after market compny and just ask for a 3:3 cat.

ATR, if the only one I can think of off the top of my head

Ferrita I think, not sure though

    Everyone almost

Everything you said was correct with one exception. Ferrita does not sell a 3" cat back. SCT and SAM are retailers of the Ferrita exhaust system.

BSR sells its own 3" downpipe w/3" cat and 2.5" cat back exhaust system.

Simons, JT and a few other one-off shops in Sweden make exhaust systems for the 850's

        Re: Cat-back & Downpipe I'm Confused 850 95

Unless I'm reading the sites wrong, which I could be considering the language difference, they are all charging an arm and a leg for the downpipe and cat.

For example with Kalmar Union, they charge 780 pounds for the downpipe and cat, compared to 440 pounds for the cat-back. Same goes for SCT and SAM. SCT charges 6920 SEK for the downpipe and cat and 2996 SEK for the cat-back.

ATR at ptuning charges way more for the cat-back then for the downpipe.

        WHAT'S GOING ON?!

BSR & Ferrita, dealt with them anyone? 850 95

Have you ever dealt with BSR or Ferrita?

        It looks like I may go with a 3" downpipe, 3":2.5" cat, 2.5" cat-back with a 2.5" silencer/muffler.

So far I think the only two that offer this combination are BSR and Ferrita. I have already e-mailed both, but have not heard from either yet.

Re: BSR & Ferrita, dealt with them anyone? 850 95

I bought my Ferrita cat back from SCT and I bought the downpipe directly form Ferrita. If you buy Ferrita make sure they have a place for the rear O2 sensor after the cat. That was the only thing I had custom weleded on at the Ferrita shop in Sweden at no charge. I think all the newer pipes have it from the factory now.

From what I recall BSR had trouble getting 3" cats so they custom fit 2.5" cats onto their setup. Check with them for more specific details.

          Did you get my pics?

If you don't mind my asking, how much did you pay for the downpipe and how much for the cat-back?

Got your pics. Thanks. I replied to it, so check your e-mail.
