'03 V70 No Start V70-XC70

My daughters Base '03 V70 with Automatic has a No Start situation for the 2nd time. Two weeks ago it would not start. All lights, idot lights in dash, power door locks windows all work. Turning the key there is nothing, no click or anything. Had it towed in, service place replaced the key ring ignition antenna. Car started fine for a week and a half, than tonight after filling the tank again car would not crank or start. Turning the key again nothing. Has anyone had a similar problem ? What could be causing this ? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Fred

Problem solved, after a 140,000+ miles, the V70 needed a new starter.

We had a similar problem with my Chevy pick-up a few years ago, after making numerous stop and turning off the truck each time it would occasionally have a no start situation. All lights etc. were always working. After 15-20 minutes it would start as normal. This went on for a year or so where finally it would not start and had to be towed and turned out the starter was bad. I should have put 2 and 2 together. In any case, Swedish Car Specialists Inc.in Schaumburg, Illinois credited me for the ignition antenna replacement and installed the new starter for parts cost only, no labor charge. Great shop, if you are looking for a Volvo only shop West of Chicago.
