Thailand/Volvo's - Just curious. 850 1996

I recently returned from trip to Chaing Mai and Bangkok, Thailand.

I was surprised to see so many Volvo's, especially compared to Seoul, and Hong Kong.

Why are Volvo's so popular in Thailand?

    Almost all Volos exlcuding C70 are build in Thailand....hehe Volvo is also a status car in Thailand...most likely considered as a luxury car.

      I don't know about where they're built, but last year I stayed at a brilliant place called Meridian Yacht Club in Phuket which has a fleet of black 700 series "limos" with all white interiors. You're right about popular!
