Would someone recommend a shop in Houston or east of Katy area (Texas) please.

Nils Sefeld Volvo is probably one of the better dealers for servicing and they do have loaner cars.

But you probably know that and are looking for something more economical.

One Saturday I stumblemd across an independant volvo mechanic "Quality Volvo Care" located @ 6261 Richmond, Bldg. C - Owners name is Joshua Park

phone (713) 789-4080

This guy works exclusively on Volvo's and I believe used to be a Volvo Master Mechanic.

He seems to really know his stuff and seems reasonable.

I only had him add some AC refigerant - which he did while I waited on a HOT Saturday morning last summer.

I was impressed - however, I cannot fully endorse him due to my limited experience with him.
