Problem with turn signal indicator column S80 2000

I have a 2000 S80, FWD, and as I was driving it down the road, I gave the signal to turn. However, the turn signal indicator did not seem to work. After returning home, I tested both signals, as well as the other functions attached to the indicator column, such as high beams. None of them worked. It is not a problem with the entire steering column, as the horn and the wiper blade column both function properly.

I believe that there may be an electrical short somewhere preventing the signal indicator switch column from functioning properly. I have checked the fuses for the device, and none of them were bad. Even replacing them just to make sure, the signal indicator refused to function. What else might the problem be?

It is possible that the switch broke. But, first, push the hazard tringle in the dash. If it doesn't blink, replace the hazard switch as the relay is part of it.

The high beams not coming on when you pull on the stalk could also be a relay or a stalk problem. Does the cruise control work?

Thank you for responding. The hazard light does indeed work, but the cruise control did not work. However, I seem to have fixed the problem. Another person encountered the same problem as I have, and suggested removing the fuse that controls the signal column. After leaving it out for a little while, I put the fuse back in, and it seems to have rebooted the electronic systems in the signal column. Everything works perfectly now!
