question.

Can the oil trap orifice that goes into the engine be cleaned out when the oil pan is dropped for the o-rings?

It can probably be reemed out, but I doubt that is your problem. Replace the oil filter and put in new oil. Check the line that goes to the radiator on the passenger side and make sure it is not leaking.

If the engine sounds like a diesel, and the bearings are spun, the engine is toast. Remember, removing the oil pan is not fun and requires adheasive to put back on.
