How to change foglights w/o breaking 850 96

I need to know how to get to the bulb of the 96 850 foglight. I have a new H3 and can't get to the old bulb w/o feeling like i am breaking It.

    It's possible that the plastic has melted around it and that's why you're having problems. Unfortunately many of the 850, S/V70 foglight assemblies don't hold up very well if actually used alot as they're mostly plastic and can't take the heat.

        It seems like the design is different almost every year so I'm not positive but most twist out. If the plastic is so distorted so that it can't be removed/re-installed as it should be, it'll probably break requiring a new lamp assembly.

        Whoever designed things like that obviously never owned a car with them or he would have made it better. It's made mostly for "show" or very limited use only, not for a guy who likes driving with them on often or perhaps lives in a foggy area.

        Hi,

        I have a 1994 UK 850 which as mentioned in the last thread my bulbs melted the plastic. It was cheaper replace the whole unit as a pair that just one part which i did. They newer design for us model is now made from a creamic and since then had no problems as i just recently checked their intigraty.
