Reverse lights 850 1995

MI have 854T (95) with automatic transmission. When I shift the gear to R, the reverse lights don't come on most of the time. I like to know where the reverse light swich is located. Along the shifter or at the transmission?

Aaron-

The GPS (gear position switch) incorporates neutral safety, reverse lights, and input for requested gear to the trans control unit. It is located on top of the trans underneath the battery tray.

I still am not sure how it look like. Is it the one that look like pie shape, selector unit? When I look at Haynes manual it shows a switch for manual transmission and it doesn't show for automatic transmission.

Aaron-

That is the switch you are after. On top of the trans where the shifter cable connects to the lever.
