Drain Fuel Tank without removal 850 1996

I need to drain the fuel tank without removing it. When I try to setup a siphon it will not work. The outlet is lower then the gas tank I believe. Is there a baffle or something that is not allowing the hose to get to the bottom of the tank?

Disconnect a fuel line and add a hose to it so the gasoline can flow into a good cannister. Make sure the cannister can hold all of the remaining gasoline.

Then pull relay #103 under the fuse tray and jumper 15 & 87. When you are ready, turn the key to position II. Be very careful!!! the fuel will come out quite rapidly and can sling the hose around if not secured!!!

The fuel will pass through the filter unless you attach the hose to the end of the fueline that feeds the filter. Probably a good time to put on an new filter?

Make sure you have a good ground between the car and the container that the gas is going into,

I have seen an entire 6000 square foot commercial garage burn down because someone drained a gas tank into an open pan with no ground.

Why do you need to drain it?

Can you run the fuel pump and empty it into your container?
