Wife called from WalMart and said she couldn't get the car to go in Drive.
I asked her does it back up? She tried it and said "slowly". So I went over in the 164
and tried it out. Everything normal except the gas pedal has no effect on engine speed.
It is always idling. Starts fine, everything else is fine, but pretty hard to drive at idle.
Anybody know any quick fixes or what to check?
Any help most gratefully appreciated!

    Your wireless throttle needs a wire! Either the ETM is not responding or the throttle position switch is not working. I suggest a screwdriver handle to both of them, rap rap. It might even be the linkage under the gas pedal?

    If the CEL is on, that would be a better clue.

      Seems to have been the connector at the TPS. When I tripped the release spring wire it came
      off VERY easily. I plugged it back in and wiggled it some and it started right up and worked right.
      Tomorrow I will pinch the connectors a little tighter.
