can anybody tell me how to turn off the daytime running lights on my 2001 S-60 volvo.my glove box manual said that i could do this if i contact my volvo dealership. the nearest volvo dealership is 75 miles away. this would save on my alternator-lights and battery,thanks

Sorry, for 2001 it is dealer software programmable and not a dash switch like the 850 and earlier S/V70s.

I just turn them to "parking lights" and then throw the fogs on ;-) looks really nice after a fresh wash and wax and when going for a cruise as the sun is starting to set. Just make sure you don't forget about the parking lights when you turn the car off....they won't turn off with the key switch.

But yes, the dealer only solution is what you have if you want to disable.
