    There are a lot of factors involved: climate where you live, type of driving you do, typical road surface, etc.

    Obviously, the cheapest tire is the smallest size. Check the owner's manual for that. www.tirerack.com will have some good recomendations and they also bury a survey listing a bunch of different tire and showing what works best in the wet, dry, snow, noise, wear...

    Be aware that tires have date of manufacture on the sidewall. Make sure is was made in 2012 or 2011. Tires get old sitting on the rack.
