I would like your advice on what you would think would be an easy fix...

With AM radio sound and certain heavy base CDs, etc., there is a noise from driver door interior panel vibration... Of course, if I turn down the bass or hold down the top of the panel very firmly, the sould is restrained... I mentioned it to the dlr service, but it has yet to be addressed. (The noise seems to depend on the sound frequency and, therefore, sometimes it's there sometimes it's not...).

What's your advice on either how to fix it or what to tell my dlr service people? Thanks!

At about 7000 mi our 2000 T6 (build date 10/99) developed such a vibration in the area of the arm rest in the passenger side front door. It was evident with playing of music with heavy base or loud vol. At the 7500 mi maintenance the technician heard it and removed the door panel and packed insulation in that area. The problem was resolved.

Dan - I read in earlier posts that one solution was to pop off the speaker cover and put some insulation material behind the speaker and that resolved the problem. I've got the same situation in my S80 and will be adding that fix soon.

My advice would be to demonstrate (in person) the problem to the service writer, and also give a written sheet of instructions on how to reproduce the problem. This will leave no wiggle room for the "we couldnt reproduce the problem" response.
