having the usual, cracked solder withing the motherboard, ABS problems with my S70..mechanic I use sometimes says he can re-flow solder, $150...Xemodex will sell me a completely rebuilt motherboard for same price...I am tempted,but having never dealt with this vendor, can anyone offer any input? Thanks to all

    Your mechanic is full of it. Fire him.

    Vic will fix yours for less than $150 including postage.

    There is also a guy in the Midwest that does it even cheaper, but you get what you pay for. He lives on MatthewsVolvo site.
